Our Mission

The Union of Mediators of the Turkic World was established to contribute to the institution of mediation — an alternative dispute resolution method — both nationally and internationally.

Mediation is developing worldwide as an alternative means of dispute resolution. As mediators raised in a culture of reconciliation and peace, both historically and culturally, the establishment of the Union of Mediators of the Turkic World aims to give an institutional identity to this tradition of consensus.

The Union seeks to enhance and strengthen professional dialogue and cooperation among its members and to guide initiatives in the field of international mediation.

Our Union consists of successful mediators who have grown within the deep-rooted legal heritage of our civilization, inspired by the rich historical practices of mediation and the stories of muslihun and ahilik — traditional figures of reconciliation and ethics.

In addition to sharing this collective experience and knowledge among members, our Union prioritizes establishing internationally recognized standards and institutionalization based on this heritage.

Today, mediation has transcended national boundaries, becoming an international field of law for resolving disputes. The Singapore Convention, signed on August 7, 2019, marks an important milestone in the history of mediation. The Union of Mediators of the Turkic World draws its motivation from this convention and aims to resolve legal disputes between countries through its members.

The most important goal of the Union of Mediators of the Turkic World is to create a leading and exemplary mediation brand both nationally and internationally.

As the Union of Mediators of the Turkic World, our most important guides will be science and law. Therefore, universities and trained mediators will take place among the pioneers of our organization.

Every mediator who embraces these principles is welcome to become a member of our Union.

The Union of Mediators of the Turkic World has adopted as its mission to be a pioneer in the national and international field of law on mediation and to contribute to the peaceful resolution of international disputes.
